sick child. At Comprehensive Pediatric Care, we know that the sooner your child is on the mend, the sooner your family life can return to normal. Our providers in Fort Washington make every effort to see sick children on the day you call us. While you may not be able to be seen by your child’s pediatrician, our offices all have several physicians and nurse practitioners available to see your child.

Meet Dr. Ruth Kanthula, a board-certified pediatrician bringing warmth, deep expertise, and years of experience in general pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases to families in Fort Washington, Clinton, and the surrounding Southern Maryland community. She's passionate about compassionate, family-centered care and takes the time to understand what makes each child unique, tailoring her approach to fit their needs. Whether your little one needs a routine well visit, a sports physical, or care for a more complex condition, Dr. Kanthula is there with thoughtful, comprehensive care every step of the way.
Originally from Malawi and raised in Northern Virginia, Dr. Kanthula earned her degrees from the College of William & Mary, George Washington University, and Ben Gurion University of the Negev Medical School for International Health. She loves partnering with families to help every child reach their fullest health potential, and she's proud to make a positive difference right here in our local community.
